What if instead of focusing on counting calories we focused on what is actually in the calories we were consuming?!

After almost 10 years in the health and fitness industry it has become my mission to help women (and men) realize that they do not have to deprive themselves of calories to achieve their goals. With the current diet culture and social media it can be really confusing to figure out what a healthy diet is supposed to be. In my opinion it’s made of whole, non-processed foods that satisfy you and help you feel amazing. I try to focus on what I can ADD into my day to help me feel great vs what I HAVE to take out. Food/ nutrition is such a powerful tool we have to help us feel awesome and reach the goals we are looking for. 9 times out of 10 I find women aren’t reaching their goals because they feel like they have to deprive themselves of calories when really calories are what we need to give us energy not only for our workouts but for our life. For instance, say you have the option of eating a 300 calorie muffin or a 300 calorie protein smoothie. The calorie count is the same but the nutrient count is totally different. A sugary muffin will leave you feeling sluggish, hungry in an hour, and does not provide you with any nutritional benefit. Whereas the protein smoothie is packed with antioxidants to fight diseases, healthy proteins to build lean muscle, and awesome carbohydrates that will give you energy all day long. After hearing that, which one would you choose? My challenge for you is to start focusing on what is in the calories you are eating and you’ll soon realize that if you are eating the good stuff, counting calories might not have to be a thing.

If you want to see this in action, join our LBD program starting May 2nd! During this 6 week program I will teach you what to look for while food shopping, how to make easy healthy meals, and how to focus on nutrition that really works vs. the unrealistic fad diets out there. And if you haven’t already, join our Fitness Unlimited Members Only Facebook Group where we have daily exercise challenges to get you moving and share nutrition tips to help you get the most out of what you are eating!

My mission in all of this is to remind you that you are your own superhero and you have the power to achieve anything you want – and balancing nutrition and exercise will help you get there in no time.

I hope this helps you reframe the way you look at food, it’s such a powerful tool! I’m always here for any of your fitness or nutrition needs so please do not hesitate to reach out to Jillianboston24@gmail.com.

Healthfully,
